Cardinals Fall 23-22 Against Minnesota - Game Recap

Minnesota got 2 scoring strikes from Sam Darnold en route to a 23-22 victory over Arizona on Sunday in Week 13 action at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Minnesota did not, however, defeat the Cardinals against the spread, which closed at -3.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 45.5.

Sam Darnold completed 21 of 31 pass attempts for 235 yards and 2 TDs for the Vikings in the win.

James Conner rushed for 68 yards for Arizona, while Kyler Murray added 48 yards. Kyler Murray threw for 260 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. had 96 and 60 yards respectively.

Minnesota was outgained by Arizona 406-273 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-19 by the Cardinals.

Minnesota lost the time of possession battle 35:49-24:11, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Minnesota takes its act home to face Atlanta looking for another win. For Arizona, they head home to face Seattle.
