Vancouver Falls 4-3 to Senators - Recap
Ottawa earned a 4-3 victory over Vancouver on Tuesday, but needed a shootout to do it at Rogers Arena.
Bettors who backed the Senators were rewarded as +194 underdogs at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 6.5.
Alex Formenton(2), and Parker Kelly each scored for the Senators in the victory. Formenton opened the scoring for Ottawa.
Filip Gustavsson turned in a 34-save effort for the Senators.
Brock Boeser, Travis Dermott, and J.T. Miller scored for the Canucks, finding the net behind Filip Gustavsson.
Thatcher Demko stopped 14 of 17 shots for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.
On the power play, Ottawa went 0-for-1, while the Canucks were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.
Ottawa lost the shots on goal battle to Vancouver by a margin of 37-31.
Ottawa looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Blue Jackets. The Canucks will aim to get back on the winning track at Minnesota.
