Dallas Falls 5-4 to Hurricanes - Recap

Carolina skated to a 5-4 victory over Dallas on Saturday in NHL action at PNC Arena.

Bettors who backed the Hurricanes were rewarded as -154 favorites at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 5.5.

Carolina got goals from Martin Necas, Andrei Svechnikov, Stefan Noesen, Seth Jarvis, and Teuvo Teravainen in the victory. Noesen opened the scoring at 6:20 of the first period.

Dallas got goals from Tyler Seguin, Joe Pavelski, Jamie Benn, and Jani Hakanpaa in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Scott Wedgewood stopped 33 of 38 shots for the Stars, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Carolina went 2-for-4, while the Stars were 2-for-5 with the man advantage.

Dallas lost the shots on goal battle to Carolina by a margin of 38-30.

Next game, Carolina takes its act home to face Pittsburgh looking for another win. For Dallas, they head on the road to face Columbus.
