Canucks Fall 5-4 Against Ottawa - Game Recap

Ottawa earned a 5-4 victory over Vancouver behind a 2-goal performance from Shane Pinto on Saturday at Rogers Arena.

The Senators were a +115 underdog in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Shane Pinto(2), Claude Giroux, Josh Norris, and Jake Sanderson each scored for the Senators in the victory. Giroux opened the scoring for Ottawa.

Leevi Merilainen turned in a 21-save effort for the Senators.

Vancouver got goals from Brock Boeser(2), Jake DeBrusk, and Quinn Hughes in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Kevin Lankinen stopped 15 of 20 shots for the Canucks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Ottawa went 0-for-5, while the Canucks were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Ottawa lost the shots on goal battle to Vancouver by a margin of 25-19.

Next game, Ottawa takes its act on the road to face Edmonton looking for another win. For Vancouver, they head home to face San Jose.
