Boston Bruins vs Ottawa Senators Recap - Senators Win 6-5

Ottawa earned a 6-5 victory over Boston on Saturday, but needed a shootout to do it at Canadian Tire Centre.

Ottawa won as a -144 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Josh Norris(2), Nick Jensen, Tim Stuetzle, and Adam Gaudette each scored for the Senators in the victory. Gaudette opened the scoring for Ottawa.

Leevi Merilainen turned in a 23-save effort for the Senators.

Vinni Lettieri, David Pastrnak, John Beecher, Morgan Geekie, and Pavel Zacha scored for the Bruins, finding the net behind Leevi Merilainen.

Jeremy Swayman stopped 39 of 44 shots for the Bruins, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Ottawa went 1-for-3, while the Bruins were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.

Ottawa outshot Boston 44-28 in the game.

Ottawa looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Devils. The Bruins will aim to get back on the winning track vs. San Jose.
