Vancouver Ices New York 5-2 - Recap

Kiefer Sherwood scored twice to lead the Canucks over New York 5-2 on Wednesday at UBS Arena.

Kiefer Sherwood(2), Aatu Raty, Teddy Blueger, and Derek Forbort each scored for the Canucks in the victory. Sherwood opened the scoring for Vancouver.

Tony DeAngelo, and Casey Cizikas scored for the Islanders, finding the net behind Thatcher Demko.

Ilya Sorokin stopped 15 of 19 shots for the Islanders, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Vancouver went 0-for-1, while the Islanders were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Vancouver lost the shots on goal battle to New York by a margin of 28-25.
