Nashville Skates Past New York 7-6 - Recap

Steven Stamkos scored a pair of goals against the Islanders as Nashville handed New York a 7-6 defeat on Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena.

Simon Holmstrom(2), Kyle Palmieri, Anders Lee, Maxim Tsyplakov, and Scott Mayfield scored for the Islanders, finding the net behind Justus Annunen.

New York got a 6-stop effort from Marcus Hogberg in the loss.

On the power play, Nashville went 2-for-3, while the Islanders were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

New York lost the shots on goal battle to Nashville by a margin of 32-22.
