Ottawa Skates Past Carolina 7-5 - Recap

Adam Gaudette was the difference, potting a pair for Ottawa on Thursday as the Senators skated off with a 7-5 victory over the Hurricanes at Canadian Tire Centre.

Ottawa got goals from Adam Gaudette(2), Drake Batherson(2), Dylan Cozens, Shane Pinto, and Tim Stuetzle in the victory. Gaudette opened the scoring at 11:55 of the first period.

Tyson Jost, Skyler Brind'Amour, Andrei Svechnikov, Jack Roslovic, and Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored for the Hurricanes, finding the net behind Linus Ullmark.

Frederik Andersen stopped 25 of 32 shots for the Hurricanes, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Ottawa went 3-for-9, while the Hurricanes were 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Carolina outshot Ottawa 33-32 in the game.

Next game, Ottawa takes its act on the road to face Toronto looking for another win. For Carolina, they head home to face New Jersey.
