Las Vegas - The World Series shifts to the Bronx tonight and we have all the pitching info you need. Clarke Schmidt will start for the Yankees and he is still looking for his first win in these playoffs. He pitched 4 2/3 innings in starts against the Royals and Guardians, both on the road, allowing 2 earned runs in each game. He has never faced the Dodgers. L.A. will send Walker Buehler to the hill and he has started twice in the playoffs. One good against the Mets (4 innings, 0 earned runs) and one HORRIBLE against the Padres (5 innings, 6 earned runs). As usual, not gonna be picking this game, and if Aaron Judge continues to be INVISIBLE, this is gonna end in FOUR!

On the NFL board, if I have to make a choice between an aging Russell Wilson at QB for Pittsburgh or a lackluster Daniel Jones for New York, gotta go with Russ every time. Wilson stepped back in as the starter last week against the Jets and was 16 of 29 for 264 yards with 2 TDs and 0 INTs. He spread the love around to six different receivers and got 102 yards on the ground from RB Najee Harris. Danny Dimes was 14 of 21 for ONLY 99 yards and got NO help from the running game (76 yards total). The 2024 Steel Curtain is THE BEST scoring defense in the NFL allowing just 101 points through seven games pending the outcome of the Chargers/Saints game. Gonna buy Steel for the money.
