tarleton
Las Vegas - Raise your hand if you knew that Tarleton State was a Division 1 team. Raise your hand if you knew that they play in the Western Athletic Conference. Didn't see many hands up. The only hands that were raised were the family members of Billy Clyde Gillespie. Don't care what you say about Billy Clyde, the man can COACH IT UP. He started at UTEP in 2002/03 with a 6-24 record. The next season, he was 24-8. Yea, TURNAROUND CITY BABY! Then he went to College Station and coached Texas A&M for three seasons, posting an overall 70-26 record. Next stop was in Lexington and he guided Kentucky to a 40-27 mark in two years, before spending one disastrous season (8-23) at Texas Tech in 2011/12. Billy Clyde, or BCG if you will, went back to his Junior College alma mater, Ranger, and guided the Rangers, yup, not kidding, the Ranger Rangers, to a 134-31 record. So, again, Billy Clyde can COACH. Now he gets to take that GIGANTIC chip on his should back to Texas A&M, where he spent three years. Not saying that Tarleton has the talent of A&M, but getting 25 points seems like a gift, so we're gonna roll with the Texans from Stephenville.
Superb matchup in the UEFA Champions League this afternoon, with Paris Saint-Germain rolling over to England to take on Manchester United. The Red Devils need only one point in their last two games to win their group, and would have no problem settling for a draw at Old Trafford. And we have no problem dropping a few coins on the draw at a very tasty +$250. Also might tickle PSG +$140 for the outright win.
And if you didn't stop by my table for a taste yesterday, here's how we're handling tonight's NFL game. Not comfortable with laying 10 points, so, it's a quick trip to Prop City. Gonna buy Steel to win the 1st quarter at -3 points, and also grab 'em -0.5 to win the 2nd quarter. Thinking that Pitt will wanna run out to an early bulge and maybe rest some starters with only four days off till the game against Washington on Monday.
