Las Vegas - Whole bunch of crazy going on with the lines for the Browns/Bengals game this Sunday. If you were in Vegas early yesterday morning, you coulda bet Cleveland -3 points at the Mirage. If you were looking at downtown Vegas, the Circa sportsbook had Cincinnati at -2. The mix of numbers was due to the fact that Browns QB Baker Mayfield might or might not be playing. And also the fact that the Bengals have clinched the AFC North and could rest some players. Of course, when you wake up and read this, everything might look a whole lot different. Actually, just got an alert and The Baker has been ruled OUT, and Cincy is up to -3.
Just saw that the Washington Football Team is gonna announce the new name and logo on February 2, and naturally, we have odds. Surprisingly, the Washington Football Team name is the early favorite at 3/1. Next up is the Presidents at 5/1. You got the Red Hogs at 6/1, the Defenders 8/1, the Commanders 10/1, the Armada 12/1, the Admirals and the Brigade both at 15/1. Kinda partial to the WFT but if I were a betting man, OOPS, I am, then would have to throw a few chips at the Armada.
Thinking about tickling the Nets over the Pacers tonight. And not just because Kyrie Irving is set to make his return. Kevin Durant and James Harden are still on the floor, and after losing three in a row, we expect a massive effort from KD and the Beard to lead Brooklyn back into the win column. Also gonna drop a few chips on Over 217.0 points. Not gonna parlay the two, but would not object if you did.
Update. The overnight lines EXPLODED this morning, with the Nets flying all the way up to -8, and the total jumping up to 225.0 points. So, gonna throw just a few pennies at Bklyn and a few pennies at the Over. Staying very, VERY light!
