Las Vegas - Staying home tonight and gonna look at the Over/Under total in the UNLV/Wyoming game which is listed at 50.5 points. The Rebels have shocked the Mountain West this season after nine UGLY losing seasons. The reason is new head coach Barry Odom. No offense to Marcus Arroyo or Tony Sanchez, but Odom has the pedigree that they didn't, having coached in the SEC for a few years at Missouri. Barry didn't have a winning record, but hey, it's the SEC. Taking over in Vegas, Odom's Rebs have won seven of nine with losses coming at Michigan and at Fresno State. They've covered seven of eight, and know how to light up the scoreboard. Offensive coordinator Brennan Marion also has a stellar pedigree, with a stint as the passing game coordinator under Steve Sarkisian at Texas. UNLV's offense is averaging 36+ points per game and a little over 426 yards. The only time they failed to score more than 20 was at Michigan. Nothing to be embarrassed about because NOBODY scores more than 20 against the Wolverines. Wyoming is not an offensive machine but the Rebels defense has a number of holes that can be exploited. Not expecting to see a 56 point outburst like last week against New Mexico, but we're thinking about a final score that goes OVER with ease! And might even tickle UNLV on the money line.

For your wagering pleasure, here is your spread stat of the day. Dribbling on to the NBA hardwood tonight for the In Season tournament and looking at the Nets/Celtics game. It's a small sample size, but Brooklyn is pitching a spread PERFECTO so far, with a 7-0-1 record.
