Las Vegas - You think sportsbooks are getting desperate without the major sports on the menu??? OH YEA!!! This is what one book has turned to. Will the record for the highest temperature in Canada be broken in 2020, will the record for the lowest temperature be broken in 2020, or will neither record be broken? Naturally, we took a DEEP dive and have all the info you need to open your wallet. The highest temp was recorded in Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan on July 5, 1937 at 113 degrees Fahrenheit. Not bad, but we had 116 in Vegas last summer. The odds for the high temp getting broken in 2020 are right around 7/1. And by the way, Yellow Grass is in southern Saskatchewan, maybe about 60 miles from the U.S. border. Another six miles and you can enjoy the booming metropolis of Fortuna, North Dakota with a population of 22. The lowest temp in Canada was recorded back on February 3, 1947 in Snag, Yukon at -81 degrees. That would be MINUS EIGHTY ONE FREAKIN' DEGREES!!! Today they are in the midst of a heat wave up in Snag, with the temps BOILING all the way up to MINUS ONE DEGREE!!! If you think the lowest temp record will be broken this year, you can get odds of around 25/1. If you're on the neither part of the wager, it's even money. Might have to drop a few loonies (the $1 coin in Canada) on the high temp being broken since we're hearing some people talk global warming.
