Las Vegas - ZAPPED! If you're not familiar, lemme tell you a little something about Bailey Zappe. After Mac Jones suffered a high ankle sprain in week 3, Zappe stepped in and he has been aces. The Patriots wound up losing that game to Green Bay, but with Bailey under center, they Zapped the Lions 29-0, then whipped the Browns, 38-15. Zappe was 17 of 21 (81%) against Detroit and 24 of 34 (70.6%) against Cleveland. He totaled 497 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT. If you followed Zappe in college at Western Kentucky, you probably know that he is the NCAA's ALL TIME LEADING PASSER for a single season. In 2021, Bailey passed for 5,967 yards, beating B.J. Symons record of 5,833. And he racked up 62 TDs, passing Joe Burrow's record of 60. By the way, his passing yardage in 2021 was almost 1,110 MORE than Bryce Young at Alabama. His total of 62 TDs was 15 more than Young. And by now, you probably know that Bryce won the Heisman Trophy. Oh well. Of course, you never know what Bill Belichick is gonna do. He said that Mac Jones could be medically cleared at any time and he was a limited participant in practice Thursday. So, if it's Zappe, we go full tilt. If it's Mac, we slice the wager in half. And instead of laying 8-points, we'll go money line for the win!
