College Football Week 8 Betting Preview

The No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide are heavy favorites again this weekend as they go for their 20th straight win when they take on the No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies.

Last week Alabama easily got past the Tennessee Volunteers 49-10 as a 14-point favorite. That was their 19th straight win during which they are 12-7 ATS. At home this weekend the Crimson Tide are an 18-point favorite at online sportsbook Bovada. Alabama has won eight in a row straight up at home with a 4-4 ATS record.

The Aggies were on their bye last week and also faced Tennessee last time out on October 8. They defeated the Volunteers 45-38 as a 7.5-point favorite to post their sixth straight win.

The Crimson Tide have won their last three games against the Aggies with a 2-1 ATS mark. For totals bettors the Aggies have gone UNDER in their last five games on the road, and they are 8-3 UNDER in their last 11 games overall.

Elsewhere, the No. 17 Arkansas Razorbacks are a road underdog this week when they visit the No. 21 Auburn Tigers.

The Razorbacks edged the Ole Miss Rebels 34-30 as a 10-point underdog last week. That win snapped a three-game ATS losing streak for Arkansas. They head into Ole Miss looking to continue their recent strong road play. They have won three in a row SU on the road, five straight ATS, and they’re 7-1 ATS in their last eight outings.

Auburn have won their last three SU and ATS after defeating the Mississippi State Bulldogs 38-14 as a 3-point underdog on October 8. By covering the spread they also improved to 6-1 ATS in their last seven games.

In the last seven games between Arkansas and Auburn the visiting team is 2-5 SU and ATS. The Razorbacks are 3-2 SU and ATS in their last five versus the Tigers.

The last ranked matchup on tap this week is No. 22 Ole Miss at the No. 25 LSU Tigers.

The Rebels had their three-game ATS winning streak snapped last time out by losing to Arkansas. LSU rolled over the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles 45-10 as a 24.5-point favorite last week and are now 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five games.

LSU has won their last three versus Ole Miss and they’re 6-1 SU in their last seven. However, the Tigers are a lousy 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games against the Rebels.
