Sportsbooks Open Lines for Week's Gridiron Slate

The latest AP Top 25 is littered with eight teams from the SEC after three weeks of games. And when it comes to this week’s games in college football and the NFL, 5Dimes keeps you ahead of the curve with a full set of betting odds for all the action.

South Carolina stunned Georgia last week 38-35 as an 8.5-point home underdog in the biggest matchup in the nation’s top power conference. The Gamecocks moved back up to No. 15, while the Bulldogs dropped to No. 13 from No. 6. South Carolina will face fellow SEC foe Vanderbilt this week as a 21.5-point road favorite, while the Bulldogs will look to regroup at home as 32.5-point favorites in a non-conference matchup against Troy.

The SEC’s Auburn Tigers are at No. 5 in the nation and they will put that lofty ranking on the line this Thursday night as an 8.5-point road favorite against Kansas State in one of two showdowns on this week’s schedule between ranked teams.

The other takes us to the ACC for the annual battle between Clemson and Florida State. The No. 22 Tigers are coming off a bye week and they will come into Tallahassee as 20.5-point underdogs on the 5Dimes betting board. The No. 1 Seminoles are also coming off a bye after posting two uninspired straight-up victories where they failed to cover as prohibitive favorites.

Florida State has won four of the last six meetings against Clemson SU including a 51-14 romp last season as a 4.5-point road favorite on its way to a perfect 14-0 SU run through the 2013 season and a national title. Despite covering with ease in that game, the Seminoles are just 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings.

Turning to the pros, 5Dimes has listed Atlanta as a 7-point home favorite on its NFL betting odds for this Thursday night’s NFC South division clash against Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers fell to 0-2 both SU and ATS after losing to St. Louis 19-17 this past Sunday as 4.5-point home favorites. The Falcons are also coming off a loss that dropped them to 1-1 SU and ATS, as they fell to Cincinnati 24-10 as 5.5-point road underdogs after stunning New Orleans 37-34 in overtime in Week 1 as 3-point underdogs at home. Atlanta is just 4-9-1 ATS in its last 14 games against Tampa Bay.
