Las Vegas - Stepping into the college football world this afternoon and will roll with Kansas +3.5 points over Iowa State. When you look at the Kansas record, 4-0 straight up and against the spread, you might think, like Dorothy in the 'Wizard of Oz,' "Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore. If you had Kansas at FOUR & OH before the season started, bravo. I did not. However, the new regime led by Lance Leipold, has started to rock. Who is this guy Leipold? I'll tell ya.

Las Vegas - As long as he doesn't cut his hair, we're gonna roll with Adrian Sampson and the Cubs over the Reds. Sampson has been quite a find for the Cubbies and one of the reasons that they've won seven of the last eight (not in including last night). In particular, Sampson's last four starts have been close to perfection. He threw 24 innings and allowed only three earned runs for a svelte 1.13 ERA. We love the way Chicago is closing the season, but can't say the same about Cincy.

Las Vegas - If you've been swimming with the Dolphins, your bank account in BULGING! The Fish have won 11 of their last 12 straight up, and have covered 10. And Tua Tagovailoa has been MONEY, completing 71% of his passes for 8 TDs and only 2 INTs. However, Tua was banged up last week, dealing with a head injury, but he did pass the concussion protocol. Tua also a back and an ankle issue, so Teddy Bridgewater is getting ready.

Las Vegas - Looking out West tonight on the MLB board and gonna fly with the Angels over the Athletics. Michael Lorenzen's 7-6 record and 4.78 ERA for L.A. is not making me warm and fuzzy, but his work against Oakland this season has been wicked good. In two starts against the A's, Lorenzen has pitched 13 innings and allowed only 1 earned run. That's a ZERO POINT SIX NINE ERA and that's MONEY! On the other side of the equation, Adrian Martinez has been horrible for the A's this month.

Las Vegas - Why no respect for UNLV football? The Runnin' Rebels are 3-1 straight up and FOUR & OH against the spread. They opened up at -16 over New Mexico and have dropped to -14. Why? Not sure. I'll look into it and get back to you. If you're looking for the biggest mover so far on the college board, it's Pittsburgh. The Panthers opened at -18 early Sunday afternoon over Georgia Tech, and have ZOOMED all the way up to -23.5. Looking out West, BIG money flooding in on San Jose State.
