arsenal 4

Las Vegas - Gonna stay in England this weekend, and after bringing the Hammer down yesterday, West Ham pounded Watford, 3-1, we're looking to scoop up some more cash.
In the FA Cup semi-final, would love to take a bite of Arsenal as a HUMUNGOUS +$840 underdog against Manchester City, but as you know by now, the Gunners are MY guys, MY heart, MY soul. And even though they have won the most FA Cups in history, THIRTEEN, I would be betting with my heart rather than my head.
If you wanna little background on how each team got here, Arsenal beat Leeds United, Bournemouth, Portsmouth and Sheffield United, and will be looking to reach the final for a record 21st time. Manchester City beat Port Vale, Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle United. But there's one YUGE problem...The Citizens. They've played twice this season, and City has fed the Gunners two bagels, 3-0 at Manchester and also 3-0 in North London.
I know City is the side, but can NOT bring myself to bet against Arsenal. How about we put a few chips, very few, on the draw after 90 minutes at +$450.

Got a bunch of ponies from our horse guy, Martin Calia...talk to us Marty...

Race #12...The Grade 1 Haskell at Monmouth Park

With Kentucky Derby points on the line (100-40-20-10) seven colts will run in the Grade 1 Haskell. The morning line favorite is the Bob Baffert trained Authentic. This is also a Breeders Cup "win and your in" qualifier for the November 7th BC Classic at Keeneland. In addition, Betmakers is offering a million dollars to the connections of any horse that wins the Haskell, Kentucky Derby and BC Classic! Even though he finished second in the Santa Anita Derby, I'm sticking with Authentic to beat this mediocre group. He was given a bad ride in the SA Derby, thus the jockey change to HOF rider Mike Smith. Authentic is the only Grade 1 winner in the field and should take them gate to wire. Also, according to Brisnet, the last 60 days the Baffert/Smith combo have hit at about 46%. Therefore we are placing a Benjamin to win on #2 Authentic.

I have two plays at Saratoga...

Race #1

The pick and BEST BET baby is # 3 Mo Mischief. This colt is trained by Todd Pletcher who is excellent with 2 year olds (20%), MSW (22%), sprint races (23%) and on the dirt (23%). He is also very good with first time starters and this Into Mischief offspring is ready to roll. He gets top Pletcher jock Johnny V. to boot. A Benjamin Lee to win on # 3. Lets add a $10 DD #3 with the 4/6 in the 2nd race. And just as a saver, $5 DD #6 with the 4/6.

Race #10

This is the Coaching Club American Oaks at a mile and an eighth on the dirt for 3 year old fillies. I'm picking #3 Altaf. This filly is trained by Chad Brown and the morning line is a generous 5-1. Don't know if we will see those odds but this filly circled the field while breaking her maiden at Churchill Downs. She retains Joel Rosario who has ridden her in both career starts. This trainer/jockey combo won two races yesterday at Saratoga. We will go $20 across the board on #3 and a $2 exacta wheel 3 with all the rest.

Good luck !
