CMC
Las Vegas - Not terribly excited about this matchup. If you asked what are the two things I would say about this game, it would be, it's the only football option on a Thursday night, and it's on TV. Well, it's on the NFL Network, which is almost TV. Here's a look at last season's results between these two NFC South rivals, starting with the game at Carolina. The Panthers closed as a 7 point favorite, and put a 42-28 hurt on Tampa Bay, which went way over the posted total of 55.5 points. And for you trend players, WOW, check this out. Going back to 2011 when Cam of Newton became QB, the Carolina Cats are 13-0 straight up and 10-2-1 against the spread at home when favored by 7 points or more. And a -7 just popped up here in Vegas at Caesars. Just sayin'. In the second game, at Tampa in 2018, the Bucs got a little taste of revenge as a +3.5 point dog, winning 24-17. The total was 52 which put it Under. Would take a light, very light lean to the visitors from Florida in this spot. But here's the prop that I LOVE. It's an over/under on CMC, yea, that's what Christian McCaffrey's crew calls him, on total rushing & receiving yards. The number is posted at 140, and we're all over the OVER. CMC had 149 total rushing & receiving yards in last year's home win against the Bucs, and last week, he was at 209 total yards in the opener against a pretty stout Rams defense. Some of you under a certain age will have to hit Google, but the last thing I have for you is...RUN CMC!
