Las Vegas - Can you believe that Mad Max Scherzer has NOT won a game yet. His first start was just okay, 6 innings, 4 earned runs, and certainly not up to Mad Max standards. The pieces started to fall into place in his second outing, with 6 innings of work, just 3 hits and 1 earned run. His last start, against Arizona, was vintage Max, with 7 innings of work, only 2 hits and ZERO earned! Oh yea, he also posted 10 Ks. Pitching for the Cardinals, Carlos Martinez has been, well, UGLIFIED! He has started three games, given up 18 hits and 13 earned in just 15 innings. He hasn't won a game since 2019, and AIN'T gonna start now. Guess where Scherzer was born. Hint: the logo on the home jersey is a yellow bat with two red birds at either end. Gimme Max for the money!

Also got a quick look on the ice out in Chicago where we will buy the Blackhawks over the Predators.
