Las Vegas - Got my Southampton jersey yesterday, just look to the right, 2X large, and it fits like a dream. And it's absolutely gorgeous. SERIOUSLY!

And SEVENTY PERCENT OFF BAABBBEEE!!!

So, of course, I gotta put on the jersey and roll with the Saints as they take on Brighton & Hove. They're stuck in the middle of the table on 45 points, with 13 wins, 16 losses and 6 draws. They've scored 45 goals and allowed 58 for a -13 goal differential. But my guys have been fantastic since the restart, losing only to Arsenal. In the other five games, they bageled Norwich 3-0, bageled Manchester City 1-0, beat Watford 3-1, then drew with Everton, 1-1, and Manchester United 2-2.

The Seagulls from Brighton are holding down the 15th slot on 36 points, with 8 wins, 15 losses and 12 draws. They've hit the net 36 times and allowed 52 goals, for a kinda ugly -16 goal differential. And if you wanna know about the all important 'what have you done for me lately' category, Brighton has been outscored 11-2 and had to eat THREE bagels in the last five matches.

Straight up wager to win on the Saints at a tasty little underdog price of +$120.

Also gonna take a quick look at Manchester United over Crystal Palace, and if you're not thrilled with laying -$300, I'm still thinking, but probably will tickle it, then take my sweet money-maker prop, United to win the 1st half at only -$135.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Opening day at the GORGEOUS Saratoga Racetrack in upstate New York, and of course, my horse guy, Martin Calia has us covered...Yell at us Marty...

What's changed? No fans and the jockey colony lists 22 active jockeys and 3 apprentice riders. Out of town jockeys that are not currently riding at another track may be considered for inclusion in the regular NYRA jockey colony provided the jockey does not ride at another racetrack beginning on Thursday July 16. This would have been the 4th year in a row that I and my friend would have attended opening day.

Lets kick it...

Race #1 ...I like the # 6 Guy Caballero. He is trained by Rudy Rodriguez and ridden by last years leading jockey at Saratoga, Irad Ortiz. Irad finished this past Belmont meet the leading rider and he looks to stay hot and go for another title. The horse is dropping in company and I think he will go gate to wire . Ecks and Bacon will like this angle, the horse is owned by Repole Stables, and this is the same Mike Repole that has thrown his hat in the ring with Arod and Jlo to buy the Mets! So we will bet $20 win and place on #6 Guy Caballero. Lets play three $5 DD, #6 in the first over the 1/3/7 in the second race.

I also put together a small 50 cents pick 5 ticket for races 1-5, for $12.
Race #1- 6
Race #2- 1-3-7
Race #3- 2-3-4-5
Race #4- 2
Race #5- 5-8

Race #4...Last week I picked this horse on Belmont Stakes day and she was scratched at the gate by the veterinarian. So I'm leaving the chips down and picking her again. She is the #2 Yes to Mischief. Mischief is trained by Mark Casse, owned by legendary John Oxley, and ridden by Jose Ortiz. The Casse/Ortiz combo hits at 33%. The bet is $20 across the board on #2 Yes to Mischief.

Race #8...This is the Grade 3 Schuylerville for 2 year old fillies at 6 furlongs. My BEST BET of the day is #3 Beautiful Memories. This filly won her maiden race by 10 lengths and earned a 75 Beyer speed rating, which ties her for a field best with #8 Hopeful Princess. This is the same trainer/owner/jockey combination as my previous pick in race 4. Memories has been working bullets at Churchill Downs and should take this field gate to wire, The bet is $25 win and place on #3 Beautiful Memories and a $2 exacta wheel #3 with all.

Race #9... The Grade 3 Peter Pan at a mile and an eighth on the dirt. I'm going with a long shot here in #7 Caracaro. His last race was in January, but that win earned him a field best 92 Beyer speed rating. The second place finisher in that race came back and won the next out at a mile and an eighth. The trainer Gustavo Delgado wins at 16% and is 67% when he enters a horse that hasn't run in over 180 days! He also gets top jock Javier Castellano.
Lets go $20 across the board on #7 Caracaro and a $2 exacta wheel #7 with all.

Good luck at the Spa !
