Las Vegas - A little early morning soccer action at Wembley Stadium in the FA Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Sheffield United. There's absolutely NO DOUBT that City is gonna win this game, but who in their right mind wants to lay $750 to win back $100. NOT this guy. Las Vegas - Very happy to see Shohei Ohtani leave Yankee Stadium, and will be very happy to watch him pitch against a team other than the Yankees. Ohtani has been solid with the bat in his hand, but with the ball in his hand, he has been RIDONKULOUS! Shohei has started four games, pitched 21 innings and allowed only 2 earned runs. My calculator tells me that is a 0.86 ERA. Yes, ZERO POINT EIGHT SIX! Oh yea, forgot to throw in TWENTY SEVEN Ks. Can anyone hit this guy? The answer is NAH!

Las Vegas - Are the road teams in the Stanley Cup playoffs REALLY that good? The visitors SWEPT the board Tuesday night, winning ALL four games. Tempted to grab every home side tonight for a bounce back, but not gonna get crazy. However, there is one home team, the Avalanche, that WILL get my cash. Before game one, everyone was talking about how Colorado got the best of the draw with the Kraken, and might have taken Seattle TOO lightly. That AIN'T gonna happen this evening.

Las Vegas - NO Ja NO way! Memphis came into the opener as a -5 point favorite and wound up on the short end of a 128-112 score. Morant was hurt in the 4th quarter, and even if he plays, he AIN'T gonna be close to 100%. That's a GINORMOUS problem against this very deep Laker team that is hitting on all cylinders, and have won eight of the last nine.

Las Vegas - Maple Leafs fans have been stumbling around in the wilderness for 48 years without winning the Stanley Cup. FORTY EIGHT YEARS! The last time the Leafs won the Cup, 'To Sir With Love' by Lulu was at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Not saying that Toronto is gonna lift the Cup, but will say that game one is a DELICIOUS spot for the home team. The Leafs come steaming into the playoffs on a sweet 4-0 run, including a 4-3 win AT Tampa Bay.
